Is the Silent Resolve Talent Worth It? — Recounterpoint

Is the Silent Resolve Talent Worth It?

No. Article over.

Oh, my logic? Ok, fine…

As Disc a solid amount of our “healing” is actually prevention … and as such does not generate threat. We may well be generating half the threat that a holy priest does right out of the gate.

Once I dropped this talent I never looked back. Even in 5mans.

PW:S absorb generates threat, not sure about Divine Aegis, but I suspect it does too.

But no Silent Resolve isn’t worth it. :-)

Interesting, I wasn’t aware that it was generating threat.

I thought that casting it was a flat threat amount but that it was small, and the absorb didn’t generate threat.

I know that if I shield when a pack is being pulled, after they were engaged, but before the tank gets a chance to thunderclap/swipe/etc, I can pull adds.

I don’t think I’ve ever had that experience though if I shielded before combat started…
